Egypt – Nile Cruise
31 Photos
I took these photos whilst on an 8 day / 7 night cruise on the Nile river, from Luxor to Aswan Egypt. The tour began aboard the Nile Style river boat (one of some 300 plus boats that cruise this section of the river) in Luxor and turned around at Aswan, a few miles short of the high dam and lake Nasser. There was no doubting that it was hot, with the temperature on most days hovering around the 40 degree mark. But what made it tolerable was the early starts for sightseeing excursions, the boats air conditioning, swimming pool and the gentle breeze when we were cruising. I didn’t get sick, which I attribute to the boat only using filtered water for cooking and only drinking bottled water. It’s a fun trip and a great way to get a very brief insight into the Egyptian history and culture.
