Graham and I did a bit of exploring around the Lodge. We rode the Rolleston track, which starts (ends) at Goings Creek and pretty much contours up to the shelter and small tarn at the start of the St James walkway. The whole ride takes about 35 minutes up and about 20 down. It’s a fun ride, with only a small section in the middle which is a bit muddy.
We also explored around the lodge, and also went in from Windy point and followed the Hope bush track for about 45 minutes, at which time the track deteriorated (lots of roots) and it started to get a little dark.
