Here’s my collection of photos of the Sumner ANZAC parades going back to 2005 (with a few gaps – a boy has to travel!).  They are held on the 25th of April (ANZAC day) to mark the anniversary of the Gallipoli landings of 25 April 1915. Over the years it has expanded as a service to remember the men and women who lost their lives serving in the New Zealand military in other war arenas. Here’s a link to the RSA site which has links to the history of Gallipoli.

Have a browse through the galleries as you might see a photo of a friend or loved one. You’ll also see a few shots of Sumner from before the earthquake.

Please note: Due to COVID there was no parade in 2020, and only a service in 2022.
