Took a hike with some friends up Bealey Spur track a couple of weekends back. Well worth the effort as it’s an easy 1.5 hour drive from Christchurch, and a pleasant walk up through beach forest, which slowly gives way to open grass land, then open tops with great views all around Arthurs Pass National Park.  Here’s a few photos from the trip.
